Before you proceed with your booking please read this contract carefully and ensure you accept our terms and conditions.

Making a Booking

You must read the booking terms and conditions.

Any booking made or order placed by you, whether through our website or otherwise, shall be deemed an offer by you to purchase the relevant holiday arrangement subject to these booking conditions.

The person who makes the booking accepts these conditions on behalf of all members of the party and is responsible for all payment due from the party. Booking services are currently only available to persons who are at least 18 years old. By submitting a booking you warrant and confirm to us that you comply with those arrangements.

You must not use the service for any activities which breach any laws, infringe any party's rights, or breach any standards, content requirements or codes promulgated by any relevant authority. You must not use the service in any way which interferes with other users or defames, harasses or menaces anyone. You indemnify us from and against all actions, claims, suits, demands, liabilities, costs or expenses arising out of or in any way connected to use of the service by you or any other person in your party. Each of your party has joint and separate obligations under the terms.

Pricing Policy

All offers displayed on our website are subject to availability. Once a confirmation invoice has been issued the price shown on that invoice will not change unless you amend your booking.

Booking Confirmation

Once you have confirmed your booking and accepted our terms and conditions, we will send you a confirmation by email which is also a receipt for the amount which has been deducted from your credit card. It will detail exactly what you have booked plus a receipt for your credit card deductions, booking fees.

Whilst we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of your booking, please check all details of your confirmation immediately and advise us of any discrepancies. In particular, please ensure your dates are correct, as changes will incur an administration fee.

Special Requests

We will do our best to accommodate any special requests and will pass them on to the relevant supplier but we cannot guarantee them.

Behaviour

It is your responsibility to ensure that you and the members of your party do not behave in a way which causes offence or danger to others or which risks damage to property belonging to others. In such circumstances all suppliers and Passport Breifne have the right to terminate arrangements made on your behalf, in which case our responsibility to you ceases immediately and there can be no refunds, no payment of compensation and no reimbursement of any cost or expenses you may incur as a result. Also, you will be liable to reimburse Passport Breifne and/or suppliers concerned for any expenses whatsoever incurred as a result of your behaviour.

Suppliers' Terms and Conditions

Please note that supplementary supplier terms and conditions could apply between you and any of the suppliers whose services form part of your booking. For example, self-catering properties often require a deposit against damage and health/ safety regulations apply for certain activities. If any supplementary or differing terms and conditions apply, you will be advised prior to your booking being confirmed and before any payment is deducted.

Liability

Because Passport Breifne acts only as a booking agent, we have no liability whatsoever for any aspect of the arrangements and, in particular, has no liability for any loss, personal injury or death however incurred. All such information shown on this site is provided in good faith on an "as is" basis. Passport Breifne will not be responsible for any errors, omissions or misleading information and we disclaim, to the maximum extent permitted by law, all implied warranties in connection with such information.
In no event shall we be liable for any injury, loss, claim, damage or any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits or savings, arising out of or in any way connected with the use of any data or information services displayed on this site. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Payment

When making a booking on-line full payment is required at time of booking. Please note when booking all on-line services a €4 per person booking fee applies.

We reserve the right to pass on any charges relating to returned cheques and credit card charge backs. We also reserve the right to charge you in addition for any handling fees incurred by us in relation to bookings made by credit or charge card. You will be notified of the relevant charges prior to issue of a confirmation invoice.

You will be notified by telephone or email if your method of payment is declined. It is your responsibility to contact us within 24 hours of notification. We cannot guarantee your booking until full payment is taken.
We do not accept responsibility for cash or cheques sent through the post and cannot guarantee to hold your reservation until the cheque has cleared.

Cancellation and Changes

If you have to cancel all or some of your booking please let us know in writing (by mail, fax or e-mail) as soon as possible. We apply the following cancellation fees which are based on the day the written cancellation is received and whether full payment has been received. Some of our providers have different cancellation policies - these will be shown on your confirmation form.

  • More than 14 days notice: 20% of cost of booking (for accommodation: 20% of first night)
  • 7-14 days notice: 50% of cost of booking (for accommodation: 50% of first night)
  • 6 days to 24 hours notice: 75% of cost of booking (for accommodation: 75% of first night)
  • Less than 24 hours or no notice: 100% of cost of booking (for accommodation: 100% of first night)

In addition, we will deduct the cost of credit card charge backs or bank charges. We will handle your refund as quickly as possible but please allow up to four weeks for your refund to be processed.

If you want to change an existing booking each amendment will incur a charge of €25. However, changes are subject to availability. This charge will be added to your invoice and is non-refundable. Any additional charges passed onto us by suppliers will also be added to this.
Although we make every effort to ensure that published descriptions are correct, we do not own or operate suppliers and cannot control or prevent changes. We therefore reserve the right to change the description of services before you book, in which case you will be told before your booking is confirmed and payment deducted.

Force Majeure

"Force Majeure" includes war, threat of war, riot, civil disobedience or strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or industrial disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, level of water in rivers, technical or maintenance problems with transfer, unforeseen operational decisions of suppliers, or any unforeseeable or unavoidable event beyond Passport Breifne's control.
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a booking a full and prompt refund will be made of all monies paid less any amendment fees. No compensation is payable.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions

We have the authority and the right to at any time it sees fit to change or modify all or any part of these terms and conditions. This right shall not effect the existing terms and conditions accepted by you upon making a legitimate reservation or purchase using this site. If any of the terms are unenforceable as drafted it will not affect the enforceability of these terms and if it would be so enforceable if amended it will be treated as amended.
