From Dromahaire - take R286 out of Dromahaire for about 12 miles. Take the first left turning past Parke's Castle and follow the county lane up the hill. Take a left turn just after the highest point of the hill at the college gates.
The Wise Woman Festival - a unique weekend of learning, discovery, celebration and fun for women of all ages.
Also during the weekend:
- a display the work of female artists
- Junk to Treasures Table - bring along those items which you are ready to release. This is an opportunity to give and take.
- a meditation room available throughout the weekend
- a Mass in the on site chapel on Sunday morning.
The Wise Woman Weekend is organised based on holistic sustainable principles by entirely volunteer energy. Where possible, all goods and services are sourced from the immediate community, the organisers use environmentaly friendly products and actively seek women-run enterprises.
To achieve the maximum from the weekend you are strongly encouraged to attend from beginning to end. The regular Weekend Pass is €140. If you cannot attend the entire weekend, you can still participate and take the Saturday Only Pass at €90.
Meals are being supplied by St Angela's College and are buffet/cafeteria style. A vegetarian option will be available.
