Situated amid the beautiful landscape of the North-West of Ireland, Eagles Flying, Ireland's biggest sanctuary for birds of prey and owls, offers you incomparable impressions of majestic raptors soaring over one of the most lovely locations to be found.

Experience some of the biggest birds of prey in the world in their natural environment. Watch different species of eagles hunting on prey-dummies. Be astonished about the arrowlike flight of the falcons and the high intelligence of the vultures.

During the daily Free-Flying Displays specialists will inform you about the biology of the raptors and their important role in nature. The displays last about 60 minutes - and every show is different but all are thrilling. You'll get really close to the birds - you'll feel the beat of their wings as they fly over your head.

The Irish Raptor Research Centre is a scientifically managed institution specialising in Birds of Prey which also serves as a hospital for injured specimens of birds and other wildlife brought in. The centre works closely together with other Zoological Gardens breeding endangered species for release-programmes.

Visiting the Centre means you help nature conservation in two ways. Your entrance fee goes towards important nature conservation work. Plus knowing more about these beatiful birds also means safeguarding these endangered species for future generations.

Please contact us for information about group visit or to find out more about private displays.
