Tara Cruisers is a small personal firm operating a fleet of top of the range, self-drive, hire cruisers of steel construction built between ’92 and ’95.
Many customers have no previous boat experience and Tara Cruiser staff will give you complete instructions until you are confident to take control of the boat. No license is required but the skipper must be over 21 years. Your boat will be completely serviced and ready for use on your arrival. You will receive full training instruction. A safety video is also provided.
All boats come with kitchen/galley equipment and a complete linen service.The boats are ideal for family use, as all boats are fitted with complete all- around stainless steel hand rails. Life jackets are provided free of charge. A dinghy is supplied free with each cruiser and outboard motors can be rented at the base. Navigation Charts, Binoculars and Captains Handbook are also Provided free of charge.
Reception staff are fluent German speakers and can assist you in planning your cruise on the Shannon. Many customers return year after year and newcomers are treated like old friends.
Transfer from airports arranged on request. If you arrrive by air, you will be greeted by the Tara Cruiser transport representative at the airport and brought to our main base. Travel time 2 hours Dublin and Knock 45 mins.
